Option 1: Standard Funding (all students) Standard funding allows the student to borrow up to the cost of attendance using the Unsubsidized Stafford and Graduate Plus federal student loans. This option requires student's information only. No parental income information is needed.
Option 2: Extended Funding (DDS students only) Extended funding allows the student to borrow up to the cost of attendance from all sources including Institutional and Health Profession Student Loans (HPSL). This option requires all students to include parental financial information on the FAFSA by March 2.
(Note: Parental information determines eligibility for both Institutional and HPSL loans. These loans are limited and awarded based on need on a first come, first serve basis until the March 2 deadline or until funds are exhausted which ever comes first. Loan amounts vary according to eligibility and available funds.)
2018 federal income tax return information is needed to complete the FAFSA. All applicants are encourage to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool when completing the FAFSA.
Once you complete the FAFSA, the federal processor will send you an acknowledgment that your application was received and processed.
